Caregiver/Direct Care Worker: Eligible for $600 sign on bonus!
About the Company: Aging with Comfort is a non-medical home care agency serving seniors and disabled adults across Pennsylvania. We strive to preserve the independence and quality of life for the individuals we serve, and to offer meaningful work opportunities for those we employ.
Responsibilities of the Caregiver/Direct Care Worker:
1. Provides consumer’s personal hygiene by giving or helping with showers or baths; assisting with toileting, shampoos, and shaves; and assists consumers to the bathroom.
2. Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding consumers as necessary; and assisting consumers with ambulating, turning, and positioning.
3. Promotes consumer comfort by utilizing resources and materials.
4. Provide and maintain safe environment for consumer, by using equipment safely and properly such as footstools, oxygen, etc.
5. Practices standard precautions in all contacts with consumers.
6. Protects organization's value by keeping consumer information confidential.
7. Serves and protects Aging with Comfort by adhering to professional standards, agency policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
8. Perform support activities as prescribed in the care plan including but not limited to supporting independence, providing companionship, and providing respite for families.
9. Document care provided and response of consumer/family.
10. Submits documentation of care provided via electronic visit verification in order to meet agency compliance requirements.
11. Completes all documentation of assigned tasks in accordance with assigned consumer care plan through agency’s electronic visit verification process in accordance with state guidelines for compliance with Medicaid regulations.
12. Enhances Aging with Comfort’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
13. Ensures the quality and safe delivery of personal services to the consumers while also supporting their families and Direct Care Workers.
14. Works in cooperation with family/Direct Care Worker/and other home care staff to meet the emotional needs of the consumer/family/Direct Care Worker.
Performs all duties as assigned.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
